The initiative behind the establishment of the business began with a three member team, a few tools, a wooden tool kit in an ancient white Mitsubishi Lancer as mode of transport to carry out minor repair and maintenance requests for friends and family. From very humble beginnings, the journey commenced from welding grilled gates to fencing and then to roofing works which is where the business really thrived. Hereon, the formation of the business name came about and this led to the registration and licensing of the business. What started out as a three member team progressed to a 20 member team until the COVID-19 pandemic hit us in 2020. Unfortunately, this really took the business aback and we were forced to not only cut back on expenses but human resources. Although we are a small construction establishment and relatively new in the construction market we have been able to successfully complete a number of residential and commercial projects to date.

Meet the Founder

Mr. Josefa Civoniceva, widely known as Joseph Civoniceva, is a devoted family man and accomplished professional with a diverse background in automotive engineering, healthcare, and business. He is married and blessed with six children four sons and two daughters.

Born at Labasa Hospital, Mr. Civoniceva spent most of his childhood in Labasa. From an early age, he was shaped by his upbringing in a community with a strong tradition of sugarcane and rice farming. Growing up surrounded by the rhythms and values of rural life, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for perseverance, humility, and the importance of family and community.

His early education was rooted in his faith and values, attending Holy Family Primary School and later Holy Family Secondary School. Mr. Civoniceva's heritage is deeply tied to Fiji. His father hails from Karoko, Tunuloa in Cakaudrove, and his mother is from Namajiu, Kadavu.

At the age of 18, he moved to Suva to pursue his career ambitions, joining the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Maintenance Unit based in Walu Bay, for Automotive Engineering and Building as part of the Fiji Institute of Technology (now FNU). In 1999, Mr. Civoniceva broadened his horizons by moving to the United Kingdom, where he attended Ealing Tertiary College in London, undertaking a GNVQ short course in automotive engineering. During his time in the UK, he worked as a Healthcare Assistant at Ealing Hospital from 2001 to 2002, gaining valuable experience and insight into a new industry.

Returning to Fiji in late 2002, Mr. Civoniceva ventured into the real estate sector, making investments and exploring entrepreneurial opportunities.In 2017, he established his own business specializing in maintenance and general construction, a field he continues to excel in to this day.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Mr. Civoniceva has a deep love and passion for fishing and spending time at sea. He particularly enjoys taking his boat ‘blessed Voyage’ out on the ocean, where he can unwind, fish, and enjoy the tranquility of the open waters. He also enjoys futsal, rugby, and spending quality time with his family and loved ones. In addition, he values meaningful conversations and enjoys connecting with knowledgeable, like-minded individuals, business associates, and professionals, where he can exchange ideas, experiences, and perspectives.

However, his true passion lies in his faith. He is deeply committed to the Word of God, spending time reading and sharing scriptures with his family and loved ones, fostering a spiritual foundation in both his personal and professional life.

Mr. Civoniceva's journey reflects a life of hard work, adaptability, and a steadfast dedication to his values, community and family.
